"OH NO!" cried Meg, "I've gotta get home in five minutes or else my parents will kill me."
"Whoa, is that late already?" asked Sarah, "Hold on Meg, I'm coming with you, I've gotta get home fast,"
"Kay, Lola, you coming?" asked Meg. said Lola. When Meg and Sarah left, Kayla and Nikki took advantage of the situation, "Hey Lola, would you come down with us?" asked Nikki.
"Huh, sure, ok," said Lola. The three of them went downstairs and saw Mark and Lewis discussing something,Kayla figured that it was about the power wand, and that it was really important, but she interrupted them anyways, "Ahem, excuse me," said Kayla Mark and Lewis looked,
"Oh, you're here, um well, did you tell her?" asked Lewis.
"No, not yet, I figured I'd wait for you," said Kayla.
"And besides, our friends just left, so we didn't have the chance," said Nikki.
"Ok, well, umm, I don't really know where to start, well, first of all, I'm Mark, and this is my brother Lewis, and well...you see... the thing is that you kind of, sort of have well, how do I put this, umm, you have special powers," said Mark shyly.
"Huh, what?" asked Lola, "I...I must have heard you wrong, d...did you just say that I have powers!?"
"Yep, you may not believe it, but it's true, we both never expected this either," said Nikki.
"No way, you're joking, right?" said Lola.
"I wish, life would be a whole lot easier if it was, don't you think Nikki?" said Kayla.
"Yep, but sadly it isn't, and so, you have to know, Kayla is the leader, I'm water, and you are Nature, we also have to find two more, the ones with the power over fire and love," said Nikki.
"No way, I won't believe you until you have some solid proof, so, I'm leaving, see you at school, good bye," said Lola, and she started to leave.
We have to show her, if we don't then we could lose a protector, and our secret could get out, Kayla said to Nikki telepathically.No, you can't, what if she doesn't believe you, then what? said Nikki.Well, we have to take the chance, what else should I do, come on, if we waste time then she'll go away, and chances are, that she won't come back to talk with us, at least not alone, said Kayla trying to persuade Nikki. Nikki thought for a while, and Kayla was getting impatient,Fine, but if something goes wrong then don't blame me, she said.Kayla just smiled, then both Nikki and Kayla went back upstairs, and, to their surprise found that Lola was still there, she looked up, "I just had to finish my food, I'm going now,"she said, then went to leave.
"No, wait, Protector Earth, Transform!" said Kayla. Lola turned around and saw Kayla's transformation, "Whoa, this can't be happening!" exclaimed Lola, and she almost fainted, but Nikki caught her in time. "Is this proof enough?" asked Kayla.
"Definitely," said Lola, dazzled by Kayla transforming, she almost fainted, but Nikki caught her in time, "So you're telling me that I have powers over nature?" asked Lola.
"That's right, and you have to help in finding the last two protectors," said Nikki.
"Plus defeat the enemy," said Kayla.
"Umm...well, I'd like to help you, but...uhh...*sigh* ok," said Lola hesitatingly.
"Yes!" Kayla cried out.
"Alright!" said Nikki, and Lola just smiled at them.
"So what do we do now?" asked Lola.
"Well, first you have to try transforming," said Mark, and he gave her a broach with wings and wind symbols on it, "just use it and say, Protector Skylight, Transform!"
"Ok, I could try that, Protector Skylight, Transform!" yelled Lola. In seconds Lola transformed, her outfit was just like Kayla and Nikki's, but Lola's was green. "Whoa, now this is cool, do you guys do this all the time?" she asked.
"Never! No! Look, this may seem like a lot of fun, but it's a lot of work, and it really messed up mine and Kayla's life," said Nikki.
"Yeah, thanks to those two," said Kayla pointing at Mark and Lewis, "I couldn't stand doing this all the time, personally, I'd rather live at school, and me being me, that says a lot!"
"Well, I already agreed, so I guess I'm stuck," said Lola.
"Yeah, that's what I said when I first found out," said Kayla, then everybody started laughing. All of a sudden, they heard a noise, everyone ran outside, they saw a giant cat right in front of them, and right beside it was Kaji, "Oh, is this another little protector, let's give you a proper welcome," he said.Kayla, Nikki, and Lola wouldn't say anything, but all of them were extremely scared, "NOW GO, DEFEAT THOSE LITTLE PESTS!" yelled Kaji. The cat started to attack, but Kayla, Nikki, and Lola were too scared to move, they closed their eyes, and started to hope that the cat wouldn't crush them. When a lot of time had gone the girls opened their eyes and saw that the demon hadn't even gone five whole steps, they laughed at how slow the cat was, and Kaji was getting extremely mad, and his face turned red, "STOP THAT, AS SOON AS IT GETS TO YOU, THAT CAT WILL PUMMEL YOU!" he said.
"Wow, this will be easier than I thought, I'll get him," said Nikki, but Kayla stopped her.
"No wait, we should let Lola try, she has to figure out her powers," she said.
"I guess," said Nikki pouting, "but I wanted to beat the dumb cat."
"*Sigh* you can do it next time, I promise that next time, you can have the first attack," said Kayla.
Nikki's face brightened up, then she turned to Kaji, "Next time you better bring someone that's actually a challenge," she said, then Kaji got really mad at her.
"Whatever, don't pay attention to her, just attack Lola," said Kayla. Then Lewis ran out,
"Where were you and Mark all this time?" asked Nikki.
"I tried to get Mark out if the corner, but he's too scared, he has an irrational fear of cats," said Lewis, "anyways, first things first, Lola, all you have to do is call out for your Vine Bow, and use your Tree Growing Arrow attack."
"Ok," said Lola, "Vine Bow! TREE, GROWING, ARROW!" then Kayla used her attack,
"EARTH FLASH POWER!" and in a couple of minutes, the monster was gone. "What!? He Didn't Even Attack!" cried Kaji, "We'll get you next time," then he was gone.
"Wow," said Kayla plainly, "that was kind of sad."
"yep, well, let's get some food, I'm hungry," said Nikki. But Lola was as stiff as a pole,
"Wait A Minute!" she said, "Is that all we have to do?"
"Yeah, that's it,"said Nikki.
"Are you ok?" asked Kayla.
"Y-yeah, I guess, but you guys made it seem extremely hard, I was so worried and scared, well, anyways, what do you want to eat?" said Lola.
"Hey, don't get, your hopes up, it'll get harder, you can count on that," said Nikki, and as for your second question, well, I think I'll have a big Strawberry Shortcake, what about you guys,?"
"Well, first, I'll make fun of Mark," said Kayla,
"Yeah, an irrational fear of cats?" said Lola, then everybody started laughing their hardest.
